WICKENBURG, AZ -

From Carnegie Hall to concerts at the Vancouver Olympics and then straight to Wickenburg, Destino will appear at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts for one night only on Thurs., Feb 18 at 7:30pm.

The tenors who make up Destino combine their powerful and commanding voices into a style best described as "popera" - pop with an opera flair.

Singing in English, French and Spanish, the trio delivers the gamut from operatic classics to modern day popular tunes. For fans of Josh Groban, Il Divo and Andrea Bocelli with a little Chicago thrown in to the mix . . . these soft-pop tenors cover everything from the classic "Mac The Knife" to "Someday" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, to modern day pop tunes such as Toni Braxtons "Breathe Again."

Classically trained, award winning professional tenors Paul Ouellette, Joey Niceforo and Hans Munoz form Destino. Before collaborating as a trio, the three Canadian vocalists were in established solo careers, performing pop, opera, gospel, soul, R&B, jazz and musical theatre. Destino has received critical acclaim, selling out concert halls in Canada and the U.S.

“Their tour schedule is literally performing at the Vancouver Olympics and then Wickenburg, claimed Cathy Weiss, Director of the Webb Center. “They will arrive in town on the 17th for an event we are calling ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ at 6:30 PM in the new Webb Center ‘B’ Lounge.”

Planned is a relaxed evening for “girls only” with great food and an opportunity to meet the members of Destino one to one. Tickets for this event are $40 and on sale through the Webb Center Box Office. The event supports the Arts for Kids Program at the Center.
