He also is recognized for his expertise in the complete spectrum of musical styles and periods.

Golan also is Music Director & Conductor of the Lamont Symphony Orchestra & Opera Theatre and the Portland Ballet Company. In addition, he continues to guest conduct professional orchestras, opera and ballet companies in the United States and around the world. The symphonys lead trombonist Kim Ohlemeyer will perform the new Concerto for Jazz Trombone and Orchestra by Richard Hill & Chris Barber and percussionist Steve Fitch will perform Harold Farbermans Concerto for Jazz Drummer and Orchestra.

Principal trombone for The Phoenix Symphony, Ohlemeyer first came to Phoenix playing second chair from 1982-86 and returned to take the position of acting second trombone in 1989. He eventually took over the principal position in 1990.

In guest appearances, Kim Ohlemeyer has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and has spent seven summers appearing at the Grand Teton Music Festival.
