Bryan White brings acoustic sound to Webb Center

Release Date: Feb 25, 2009   Author: Cathy Weiss

WICKENBURG, AZ -

What seemed to be an instant rise to fame actually was the fulfillment of a dream for Bryan White. Still in his teens, he took his talent and dreams to Nashville, determined to play music and sing in Music City, USA. The dream led to more success than the young man even had imagined, success that brought him awards and accolades before he was barely into his 20s.

In the mid 1990s, the Oklahoma native had a string of No. 1 hits, including “Someone Elses Star,” “Rebecca Lynn” and “So Much for Pretending” as well as two platinum albums, “Bryan White” and “Between Now and Forever.” One critic called his first two albums "surprisingly mature, both in subject matter and in vocal approach." And, although he quickly earned fans of all ages and musical persuasions, it was among young people that he became an instant star in a way few country singers ever have.

His duet with Shania Twain, “From This Moment On,” remains one of the most popular songs on the radio. He continues to collaborate on duets with a stellar list of artists including Amy Grant and Steve Wariner, and writes hit songs for Wynonna Judd, Sawyer Brown and Joe Diffie.

Now married with a young family, White is ready for whatever the next phase of his career brings. "I want to keep making positive music that not only inspires me but encourages others to have hope that they can accomplish whatever goals they set," he said. "I want to make music that not only causes people to think, but think beyond themselves."

Bryan Whites only performance in Arizona will be a unique acoustic set in the Webb Center, one of the states most intimate venues. Be sure you’re there for every moment of what promises to be a show to remember.
